Thank goodness Landen man helped us find the computer- now if only he could help fold clothes...
Ok, so in all reality. I work on the computer all day (and it would be a huge issue if my computer ever was misplaced- I would have a meltdown for sure) and in the evenings, I am usually catching up on housework or cooking- sooooo I haven't had enough energy to try and come up with somewhat entertaining stories about how the Montana homefront is treating us. I know I have said this before, but who knew having a baby, a full-time job and a house took so much work?! I need to win the lottery- but I guess I should actually purchase some lotto tickets first.
But since spring has arrived a whole new feeling has washed over Chad and I. We feel like we just survived the longest winter of our lives (insert victory dance here), but at the same time it is insane how fast time is flying by. With the sun staying out longer, I feel like I am instantly 25% more productive and I need that extra boost in productivity! I mean, did you see all of that laundry?! Plus, this extra boost of energy will help me better about keeping everyone informed on the happs up here in Montana (we have a busy summer already planned, so it should make for some good postings).
A week before spring actually started, I heard a sound that I had not heard since we moved in and it was glorious. I was so excited to hear the songbirds, I stopped Chad mid-sentence so we could listen to them. The songbirds are out in full force and many folks up here say that is the true sign that winter is finally over! You know what I say to that? Bull crap- they are liars. All liars! It snowed 8 inches the past Tuesday- winter is clearly here to stay a little while longer.
The past weekend was great though. Decent weather, we got to run all of our errands and Chad got put on yard clean-up dooty (misspelling is intentional since he was cleaning up after our dogs). Then on Sunday we went over to our friends house for dinner and they live on their own slice of paradise- right on the creek, with a huge green lawn and beautiful trees. We showed up with baby, wine and dessert in hand and our friends were out flyfishing and stalking a bobcat that was up in a tree right next to them. Seriously not making this up- only in freaking Montana are you just hanging out, doing a little fishing, watching a bobcat swim across the creek and climbing up into a tree. Incredible. And bobcats totally look like a cat I had in high school and if you knew that cat I had in high school, you would know that cats cannot be trusted and should not be trifled with. So we backed slowly away from the bobcat and went inside to have some margaritas. Life is good and getting better now that spring is here.
